Melissa bought a used loom over eBay in September, and we made a quick trip down US 13/113 to Selbyville, Del to pick it up – it’s a pleasant, easy drive. Once you get past the clutter and stoplights of northern New Castle County, taking DE Route 1 south towards Dover much of the road is four-lane divided highway. South of Dover, you head a little eastward, and at Milford, DE 1 becomes US 113, which heads to the Maryland border parallel to US 13, but with almost no stoplights or interruptions, We sliced through the Delaware wetlands and forests, under a bright blue sky and big puffy white clouds. Selbyville is just above the DE/MD border, and we found the Food Lion which was to become our meet-up spot. We met the seller, inspected the goods, and transferred the booty under growing dark clouds. But the rain held off. . . .
On the way back up, we pulled into a little rest stop in the State Forest to take in the glory of the Forest Primeval. All in all, a pleasant little drive on a fall Sunday.
