i have a bit of a soft spot for the game... i played for 5 years myself in high school and college. this was taken at a 'friendly' match between one of the local club teams and a rival from Oregon...

Good shot!  I played Rugby when in England.  I live next door to the president of the national seniors league.  I could get you fixed up with a spot on a team if you'd like. :)  He's been chasing me to sign up but that would not be wise for me at this stage.  I really admire your photography work.

thanks, Gessman! i'm afraid, though, that i'm a bit long in the tooth for rugby these days. just turned 61, have asthma and a bum knee... both of which contribute to the fact that i'm horribly out of shape for that sort of undertaking - especially playing wing and outside center, which were my positions back in the day. hiking a mile or two for a photo is about the extent of what i can do these days...

Wow. This was dug up from the archives of LF :) I missed it the first time around. Really like the athleticism AND the photo. Nice work
