i always liked hydrangeas... when i was a kid, my mom had a huge one that half covered the pump-house in our yard, and it produced the biggest cream-colored blooms i'd ever seen! i have a small blue one outside my front door now...

i wish mine looked like that! the one outside my door barely has leaves on it, after the groundskeeper pruned it last fall!

Hi Rocky, If they don't know what they are doing, they can really hurt shrubs. We had a very wet year, so I was very easy on all the plants. I do all the pruning for work. Takes me 2 weeks to get them all done. Now this year it got warm to fast and that is not good too. There are not many bees out yet so a lot of the pollenation isn't going to be to good. Just have to wait and see how things go. If it is a dry year I water out of the lake. So all the plants do pretty good . I put all of the shubs and flowers we have in about 30 years ago. If you would like to see where I work I will post the web site. It has a few pictures I took under "grounds" on the main page. That is me in the middle and Janny in the black dress(wife). I got her a job there! ;)

Thanks Rocky. I started there as a carpenter 33 years ago. Never thought I would be old enough to move in. ;D

It has been a good ride. Close to home so I could be around with my boys. And the owner treats me pretty good. I still do side jobs building decks and remodel kitchens and baths.
