thank you one and all!  this used to be a working nursery about 3 blocks from where i used to live, but when the nursery owner retired, he sold the property to the city, and they turned it into a suburban park. no ballfields or walking trails, just a lot of nice lawn and grounds, perfect for a picnic or just to go lie in the grass on a sunny day... but not in winter!   ;D
