Hello from Minnesota!
« on: December 08, 2011, 06:25:48 PM »

I am 51, happily married. Have 3 grown children and 9 grandchildren (6 biological and 3 step). I am a social worker. My passion is photography. I am self taught. I have 4 Canon cameras and a wide variety of lenses. I have been into photography for about 8 years and have taken photo clients for at least 5 years. I have a studio in my home and shoot babies, children, pets, weddings, seniors, landscapes and whatever else comes my way! I have learned a lot and still have a lot to learn! My hope is this forum will be a fresh, friendly site free from critical arrogant, unhelpful people! ;D

My hope is the same as yours for this site, though I think when ever there is a public anything you will get people that you disagree with or who are just plain rude. I try to just ignore them.  :)
Glad you are here.

Self-taught!?
There's hope for me yet, then!
 ;D

Yep... I'm with ya on the direction for the forum, too and thus far, Jim is doing a FINE job of it!
I'm so glad he got this going... and glad you're here too, Val.

My reply was a little more brief than usual, as you'll no doubt recall and in retrospect, doesn't seem to make a lot of sense.  What I meant to say was "Hello back at you."  Sorry if I confused you.  I don't know what I was thinking on the day I did that.  Must've been hacked off at something, certainly not you.  Please excuse me for that.
